We were supposed to play a concert in late 2023 but Slajmer couldn’t make it so we thought it would be a nice opportunity to try and rearrange some of our songs on synthesizers and drum machines as a lot of the music we like is based around different uses of electronic instruments. While we were preparing for the concert we not only rearranged the old songs but also came up with a few new ones (My Stars, The Lamb and the Elliott Smith cover). We liked the experience so much that we decided to do a whole EP of those songs and so we did that in three days at our friends cottage in early January 2024. It was snowing outside most of the time and there was a lot of tea drinking and heating the stove involved.
It was also around that time that we got together with Karel from Korobushka Records who helped us release this EP (our first vinyl) on his label, which we are really thankful for. It led us to meeting a lot of great people and our collaboration continues.
Black Lipstick
